P.379Members of the Committee were asked to consider whether they had an interest in any matters to be discussed at the meeting. The following Councillors declared interests and took no part in the consideration of the application(s) referred to:

- Councillor Creswell - Application number 40890/03
P.383A report of the Borough Planning and Economic Development Officer was submitted regarding an application by United Utilities Green Energy Ltd. and Peel Investments (North) Ltd. for the construction of a wind farm on Scout Moor Edenfield. Bury MBC could submit planning related comments on the application via Rossendale or Rochdale or direct to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The Committee were informed that United Utilities had requested to make presentations to members of the Council on the issue. The Ramsbottom Area Board would hear a presentation at it’s meeting on 9 September. Other dates would be arranged for members to attend.
