PLANNING APPLICATIONS
Delegated decision: 1. That Approval be given to the following applications in accordance with the reasons put forward by the Borough Planning, Engineering and Transportation Services Officer in the report and supplementary information submitted and subject to the conditions included:- 48268 - Buckley Wells Loco Works, Baron Street, Bury - Bury East Ward Engineered fill operations prior to accommodating new rail track infrastructure. 48305 - 86 Rochdale Road, Bury - Bury East Ward Change of use of ground floor from shop (A1) to fish and chip shop (A5). 48338 - Sol & Viva, Odeon Buildings, Rochdale Road, Bury - Bury East Ward First floor smoking terrace at rear enclosed by 2.4m fence. Concern was expressed regarding the proximity of Council bins under the shelter and it was agreed that the (Borough Planning, Engineering and Transportation Services Officer) should ensure the redevelopment of the area looks at this matter when the site is redeveloped. 48355 - 574 Atrium House, Manchester Road, Bury - Bury East Ward Internally illuminated double sided free standing vertical sign. 48200 - St Stephens C of E Primary School, Colville Drive, Bury - Bury West Ward Single storey building and associated works for Childcare Services; extension to playground; additional parking provision. 48061 - St Marys RC School, Belgrave Street, Radcliffe - Radcliffe East Ward Extension to existing school to provide assembly/sports hall and new church; formation of car park and erection of boundary wall to northern boundary. Approval is subject to the inclusion of the following addition condition:- Condition 12. Prior to the commencement of works on site a Travel Plan for the development (school and church) shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. The Travel Plan shall then be implemented in accordance with the approved details upon completion of the building works, unless agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason - To minimise the impact of traffic pursuant to PPG13. 48386 - Wilton Arms, 139 Coronation Road, Radcliffe - Radcliffe North Ward Erection of detached garden shelter. Contact to be made with applicant/agent requesting that the site be kept secure to prevent the misuse of the shelter. 48196 - Victoria Public House, 119 Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe Smoking shelter at rear. Approval is subject to the inclusion of the following additional condition: Condition 5. Prior to the erection of the shelter a scheme shall be agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority for a self closing mechanism to be fitted to the rear door of the public house which is used to access the shelter. This mechanism should then be fitted to the door prior to the erection of the shelter and maintain in use in perpetuity.
