RTNM.61 | Councillor Gunther welcomed all those present to the meeting and explained that she had been the Chair of the Forum for the previous two years and would be replaced by a new Chair later on in the Meeting.
Councillor Gunther thanked all those present for their support and assistance during her time as Chair.

RTNM.64 | Councillor Fitzwalter referred to the item relating to recycling and Ramsbottom, Tottington and North Manor Township Forum reported that she had attended a meeting with Ground work where this had been discussed.
Councillor Fitzwalter explained that the discussion had related to textiles and the fact that you should not put them in any of the bins as they were causing issues with the machinery at the recycling plan.
It was explained that textiles should be placed in the textile recycling bays at the local facilities.
Councillor Fitzwalter also reported that Age UK were asking for donations and were more than happy to receive small electrical items such as kettles and toasters.
Councillor Columbine referred to the issue relating to the vintage markets at Ramsbottom Civic Hall and explained that the Cabinet would be receiving a report about the situation, Councillor Columbine stated that she would report back to the Forum when she had any further information.

RTNM.65 | The Democratic Services Officer at the meeting asked for nominations for Chair and Vice Chair of the Ramsbottom, Tottington and North Manor Township Forum for the following two year period.
Councillors Bevan and Fitzwalter were nominated for the position of Chair and Gina Ball was nominated for the position of Vice Chair.

RTNM.66 | The Democratic Services Officer at the meeting reported that following a ballot, the following representatives had been confirmed as Members of the Township Forum Advisory Group;
Gina Ball - Ramsbottom Business Group Dr Falmai Binns - BRIF/ The Holcombe Society Emily Kay - Bury Youth Cabinet Peter Wincshe - Summerseat Village Community
It was also reported that Alistair Waddell did not need to reapply as an Ramsbottom, Tottington and North Manor Township Forum
Advisory Group Members as he had not served the full two year term

RTNM.67 | All those present at the meeting split into groups to discuss the following issues:- Improved Employment & Training Opportunities Improved Community Safety Health & Wellbeing Community Cohesion & Integration New Priorities It was explained that David Thomas would take away all of the comments raised and compile a report setting out the findings, this would then be used to feed into the Township Plan refresh. The report would be shared with all those present prior to the next meeting of the Township Forum.

RTNM.68 | Dr Bins referred to the Conservation areas across the borough and asked whether the Council were trying to preserve them.
Dr Binns explained that an appraisal had been carried out in Holcombe Village but nothing seemed to have been done following it. A cottage within the village had recently been renovated and the windows and doors that had been installed were out of keeping with the rest of the village and did not comply with the conservation requirements. Dr Binns stated that information should have been supplied to ensure that this did not happen.
Gina Ball referred to the issue surrounding the vintage markets that had been booked and advertised to be held monthly in the Civic Hall in Ramsbottom. Gina explained that since the issues had arisen with the Markets department not allowing them to be held, there had been a lot of negative response from people visiting the town. Gina aked that this issue be resolved as soon as possble as it was letting the town downand giving it a bad name.
Councillor Fitwalter concurred with Gina's comments and stated that in the current financial climate events such as the vintage markets should be encouraged and welcomed.
Mr Green asked whether Ramsbottom was exempt from the Markets Charter and asked that this be reviewed.
Mr Green referred to fracking and stated that he was aware that the Lancashire area was a prime location for this kind if mining. Mr Green stated that there had been a lot of negative reports relating to fracking but it was something that people shouldn't be worried about.
It was explained that if the issue of fracking became local a representative would be invited to attend a future meeting.
