Preamble
ItemPreamble
HSC.936Stuart North and Dr Kiran Patel presented Members with a report that had been produced by the Healthier Together Team and presented to the NHS Greater Manchester Board Meeting on 25 March 2013. It was explained that the report was not intended to be presented to scrutiny and as such the format and style of writing was not of the standard that the Committee would be accustomed to.

Dr Patel explained that the CCG had felt that the Committee should receive as much information as possible in relation to the Healthier Together proposals around integrated care and how they would affect Bury and its residents.

To date, the Healthier Together Team had already engaged with clinicians and the public in relation to the future of services across Greater Manchester. This work would inform the future consultation that would start in the near future.

The Healthier Together Programme is aimed at saving and improving lives across Greater Manchester with the vision
HSC.937Councillor Bury thanked Members of the Committee for their attendance at the meeting and for their input into the work of the Committee throughout the 2012/2013 Municipal Year.
