That the Minutes of the Meeting held on 15 December 2009 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.
P.577 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
Delegated decisions:

1. That Approval be given to the following applications in accordance with the reasons put forward by the Chief Planning Officer in the report and supplementary information submitted and subject to the conditions included:-

51914 Remploy Ltd, Eton Hill Road, Radcliffe, Manchester - Radcliffe East Ward
Refurbishment and alterations to external elevations of existing building including facades, the installation of roller shutter doors and window openings following subdivision of building to industrial units for use classes B1 (Business) B2 (General Industry) and B8 (Storage and Distribution); partial demolition of existing building.

Change of use from industrial (B1, B2 and B8) to martial arts academy.
Approval is subject to the amendment of Condition 5 and the addition of Condition 6 as follows:-

Condition 5) In the first sentence after the word “commencing” delete the word “a” and insert the words “an Access and”.

Condition 6) All windows and external doors to the rooms or areas in which the activities are taking place shall be kept closed for the duration of the activities.

P.575There were no declarations of interest made in any of the items of business on the agenda.
P.577A report by the Chief Planning Officer was submitted in relation to various applications for planning permission. Supplementary information was also submitted in respect of application numbers: 51623, 51934, 51964, 51990 and 52063.

The Committee heard representations from applicants and/or objectors in respect of the applications submitted. This was limited to three minutes for each speaker.
P.578A report by the Chief Planning Officer was submitted providing statistical information on enforcement activity for the period 1 October 2009 to 31 December 2009. An update on enforcement activity since 20 October 2009 was also included.
P.579A report by the Chief Planning Officer was submitted which presented a summary of recent decisions made by the Planning Inspectorate. Details of recent appeals lodged against delegated decisions of the Committee and the Chief Planning Officer, were also included.
