Minutes: The Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member (Finance and Corporate Affairs) submitted a report for the consideration of an objection received in response to the proposed disposal of land designated as Public Open Space (POS). The land concerned was identified for sale together with the former site of Ramsbottom Youth Club site, Central Street, Ramsbottom.
Delegated decision:
That approval be given to the sale of the site of the former Ramsbottom Youth Club together with the Public Open Space land on Central Street. Ramsbottom.
Reasons for the decision: The site has been identified for disposal as no other Council service was interested in the site. The sale will generate a capital receipt and this will eliminate any ongoing management costs.
Other option considered and rejected: Not to approve the sale of the site of the former Ramsbottom Youth Club Public Open Space.

Bury Pupil Premium Review PDF 144 KB Minutes: The Cabinet Member - Children and Families submitted a report which presented a review of how Bury schools are making use of Pupil Premium funding to improve education, in particular education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The report also addressed issues relating to the lack of take up of Free School Meals and ways the authority could work with schools to increase the take up of this provision.
Delegated decisions:
1. That the report be received.
2. That the findings contained in the report be disseminated and circulated to all Headteachers and Chairs of Governors within the Borough.
3. That the report be referred to the Corporate Parenting Panel.
Reasons for the decisions: To enable the findings of the report to be circulated to key stakeholders.

Exclusion of Press and Public To consider passing the appropriate resolution under Section 100 (A)(4), Schedule 12(A) of the Local Government Act 1972, that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the reason that the following business involves the disclosure of exempt information as detailed against the item. Greater Manchester's Local Broad Band Plan (LBP) Minutes: The Leader of the Council submitted a report which detailed the Greater Manchester (GM) Broadband Plan, the potential economic benefit to GM and Bury, the funding streams attached and the requested financial contribution from Bury Council.
Delegated decision:
That approval be given to sign up to the GM Broadband Plan as set out in the report submitted which will include the priority areas within Bury as confirmed by the preferred supplier with a financial contribution which represents an equal share between all 8 Greater Manchester authorities.
Reason for the decision: This decision will have a positive economic within Bury and across Greater Manchester.
