Planning Applications PDF 2 MB Minutes: A report from the Development Manager was submitted in relation to the applications for planning permission. Supplementary information was also submitted in relation to planning application 63324.
The Committee heard representations from applicants and/or objectors in respect of the applications submitted. This was limited to three minutes for each speaker. Councillor Quinn spoke as a ward representative in respect of the planning application.
Prior to the Committee meeting, a site visit took place in respect of planning application 63324.
Delegated decision:
That the Committee be Minded to Approve the following application in accordance with the reasons put forward by the Head of Development Management in the report and supplementary information submitted and subject to the conditions included:-
63324 Land at Mountheath Industrial Estate, George Street, Prestwich, Manchester M25 9WB – Sedgley Ward Approval of reserved matters - Erection of 124 no. dwellings including details of appearance, scale, landscaping and layout pursuant to planning permission 62127.
Note: The decision to Approve with Conditions the application is subject to an amendment to the following Condition, to read as follows:-
Condition 6: Notwithstanding the submitted landscaping scheme, no development, other than demolition, shall commence until full details of the size and species of the replacement trees have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. The approved details shall be implemented as part of the landscaping scheme not later than 12 months from the date the building(s) is first occupied. Any trees or shrubs removed, dying or becoming severely damaged or becoming seriously diseased within 5 years of planting shall be replaced by trees or shrubs of a similar size and species to those originally required to be planted to the written satisfaction of the Local Planning Authority.
Reason. To secure the satisfactory development of the site and in the interests of visual amenity pursuant to Policy EN8/2 – Woodland and Tree Planting of the Bury Unitary Development Plan.
Recommended informative: The development is suggested to incorporate measures for Electric Vehicle Charging within the dwellings.
