To consider passing the appropriate resolution under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business since they involve the likely disclosure of the exempt information stated.

APPEAL AGAINST DISMISSAL

Minutes:

Consideration was given to an appeal against dismissal by an employee (JR) from Adult Care Services.

 

The appellant attended accompanied by a union representative.

 

The Chair introduced those present and explained the hearing procedure.

 

The interim Head of Workforce and Modernisation presented the management case assisted by Caroline Schofield HR advisor.

 

Delegated decision:

 

1.                            That the appeal against dismissal by JR be upheld.

 

2.                            That JR be issued with a final written warning.
