Members of the Employment Panel are asked whether they have an interest in any of the matters on the agenda and, if so, to formally declare that interest.

There were no declarations of interest made at the meeting.

To consider passing the appropriate resolution under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business since they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information.

It was agreed:

1.    To exclude the press and public.

It was agreed:

1. Candidate AC be offered the post of Assistant Director, Digital, Data and Technology for an initial period of six months.

2.      At the end of this period (6 months) a review of performance will be undertaken, the outcome of which will be shared with the Cabinet Member for Corporate Affairs and HR who, in consultation with the Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation, will decide if the candidate is to be appointed to the position permanently
