Temporary closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
of Pilkington Way, Radcliffe – between Blackburn St and New Rd, Sion St,
Radcliffe – between Pilkington Way and Hutchinson Way, Dale St, Radcliffe –
from Pilkington Way to 40 metres east, Outwood Rd, Radcliffe – between
Pilkington Way and Lodge Brow, Stand Lane, Radcliffe – between Pilkington Way
and Irwell St & between Pilkington Way and James St North, New Rd, Radcliffe
– between Stand Lane and Hollinhurst Rd from 07/02/22 for a period of 12
months to facilitate resurfacing works (anticipated duration 8 weeks, overnight
closures between 20:00 and 02:00). These are short duration closures and
works will be phased with local diversions signed as and when required by the
works.

Temporary closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
of James Street North, Radcliffe – between Stand Lane and Lodge Brow from
07/02/22 for a period of 12 months to facilitate resurfacing works (anticipated
duration 2 weeks). Local access to Stand Lane will be via Joseph St, Morton St
and Fir St

Further to the recommendation of the Traffic Management Unit
(minute number 4250), proposal for the introduction of No Waiting at Any time
restrictions on Walshaw Road at the new junction of Premier Way, Bury. The
restrictions are proposed in order to maintain visibility and turning movements
into the new residential development.

Approval to formally advertise a 20mph Zone in the new estate area
(Andrew Textile development) off Walshaw Road in Walshaw which is proposed
to be introduced as part of a Section 38 planning agreement. If no objections are
received following the formal advertisement process then the scheme will be
implemented on site by the developer asap.

Approval to introduce on site 20mph repeater signs as part of the ‘mass action
programme’ which are proposed to be introduced to bolster existing 20mph speed
limit and zone areas where we have had continued speeding complaints. The
works are proposed to be introduced as part of Bury’s 2021/22 Road Safety
programme of works.

Approval to formally advertise a 20mph speed limit area in the Darbyshire Street
area of Radciffe which is proposed to be introduced as part of Bury’s 2021/22
Road Safety programme of works If no objections are received following the
formal advertisement process then the scheme will be implemented on site asap.

Approval to formally advertise a 20mph speed limit and Zone area in the Barlow
& Glebe Street areas of Radcliffe which is proposed to be introduced as part of
Bury’s 2021/22 Road Safety programme of works If no objections are received
following the formal advertisement process then the scheme will be implemented
on site asap.

Approval to construct several VAS signs in the borough as part of Bury’s 2021/22
Road Safety programme of works.

Temporary Closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
to close Square Street to traffic between Smithy Street and Bridge Street, from
17/10/21 for a period of 18 months to continue to facilitate the
recovery/reopening of businesses (particularly hospitality) following COVID19.
The alternative route will be via Smithy Street, Bolton Street and Bridge Street.

Bury – Proposal to replace existing VAS signs with new ones as part of Bury’s

Temporary closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
of A58 Angouleme Way between Haymarket Street/Knowsley Street to Spring
Street (including Market Street at its junction with Angouleme Way) from
01/11/21 for a period of 3 months to facilitate resurfacing works (anticipated
duration 4 weeks). The diversions will be via Angouleme Way, Jubilee Way, Peel
Way, Derby Way, Rochdale Road and vice–versa and/or via Rochdale Road,
Heywood Street, Wellington Road and Manchester Road and vice-versa and from
Spring Street via George Street and then as above.

Further to the recommendation of the Traffic Management Unit (Tuesday 27 July
2021, minute 4247) to approve for advertising the proposal to introduce no
waiting at any time restrictions on Charles Street, Whitefield to alleviate access
and obstruction problems.

Grove, Prestwich to alleviate access and obstruction problems

Approval to the temporary traffic regulation order under Section
14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on Sheepfoot Lane between
Beechwood Road and Edgeware Avenue on Saturday 16 October 2021 (9am –
3pm) & Sunday 17 October 2021 (9am – 1pm) to facilitate vehicular and
pedestrian access during the Race for Life event at Heaton Park.
