228 for 150m in a north westerly direction from 02 May 2022 for a period of 6
months to in the interests of public safety due to construction works (anticipated
initial duration 6 months). Also approval to apply to Secretary of State if extension
of the closure is required. The diversion route is via Public Footpath 228, Rams &
the non-designated path to the southwest of the pond adjacent to Bast House
Farm & vice versa.

The Adult Social Care (ASC) programme has been developed in response to a new national assurance framework for adult social care and the Government’s ‘People at the Heart of Care’ white paper. While the Government’s Autumn Statement delayed charging reform until 2025, other reforms outlined in the white paper are continuing. There are significant implications attached to a Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessment rating outcome including potential government intervention for those local authorities deemed ’inadequate.’

Defra have given us little time for us to submit information to support transitional arrangements for food waste by 8th March.  As part of the evidence pack GMCA are asking for a letter from each of the 9 GM districts on council’s letter head confirming that Bury Council are aware and supportive of the proposed transitional dates. This report asks permission to move forward with producing this letter and confirm the proposed transitional dates.
