Decision Maker: Executive Director of Operations
Decision published: 25/05/2022
Effective from: 18/03/2022
Decision:
Approve the charges as set out below for a range of services
provided by the department.
The charges have been reviewed in line with established policy and
the new charges have been set taking into account competition and
commercial consideration. There will be 5% inflation added to
income budgets in 2022/23 to contribute towards the Council’s
budget savings.
Engineers rates are set (where possible) at a median of local
prices for the individual activity/service in order to ensure
consistency across the region, and in an effort to enhance income
without creating pressures elsewhere in the system (e.g. fly
tipping rather than use of skips).

Decision published: 25/05/2022
Effective from: 01/04/2022
Decision:
In accordance with the Council’s
Contract Procedure Rules an opportunity to manage this facility has
been openly advertised on previous occasions with no interest being
expressed. The Council has also considered the option of using the
in-house service to undertake the same role; however, this was not
considered as a viable cost-effective option. The successful bidder
approached the Council indicating an interest to undertake the
role.
Lead officer: Adrian Crook
Decision Maker: Chief Executive
Decision published: 25/05/2022
Effective from: 24/05/2022
Decision:
In March 2020 as a result of the Covid 19
pandemic, the majority of the scheduled Committee meetings were
postponed following guidance issued by Government. This impacted
upon Council Committee meetings scheduled to be held in the months
of April and May 2020.
This decision to review the postponement followed updated guidance
issued from Central Government. Elected members/local authority
representatives/clerks who were required to attend meetings were
unable to do so in person. An amendment to the Constitution was
considered at a meeting of Annual Council on 20th May 2020, these
changes allowed Council meetings to be undertaken via Microsoft
Teams and all meetings were live streamed on the Council’s
website.
