Temporary Closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
of the Footpath (non-definitive) on land at the Park & Ride facility at Whitefield
Metrolink Station from 23/08/21 for a period of 6 months to facilitate the car park
extension scheme. The diversion will be via Park Seventeen, Moss Lane and Bury
New Road and vice-versa.

Temporary closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, of Bentley Hall Rd/Byway 130, Bury from 07/08/21 for a period of 3 months to facilitate BT pole works (anticipated duration of works 3 days). The diversion route is via High St, Hall St, Bradshaw Rd & Harwood Rd and vice versa.

Temporary closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, of Wood Road Lane between Railway Street & no. 53 Wood Road Lane from Monday 12/07/21 for a period of 12 months to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works (anticipated duration of works one week, evenings only approx. 17.00hrs to 23.00hrs). There is no alternative diversion route.

Approval to the temporary traffic regulation order (no waiting at any time) under
Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on Woodhill Drive,
Hunstanton Drive and Brandlesholme Road, Bury on Sunday 27 June 2021 for a
period of one day (7am – 7pm) to facilitate vehicular access to and from Bury
Agricultural Show Event at Burrs Country Park.

The path to be extinguished (shown in the attached plans PRW/4/SM/RAD/1 and 2) is approximately 80m in length and runs across land under the control of TfGM as part of the Metrolink line from Bury to Altrincham.
The site is currently enclosed by fencing and 4SM has not been used for several years as a result. Opening the path would cause Metrolink serious safety concerns as this would open the existing segregated railway corridor to the public. This is not something TfGM could implement under the present ROGs guidance and current legislation surrounding railway safety.
The need to extinguish the path was highlighted when TfGM applied for Planning Permission to install a new Traction Substation on the land.
There are adequate alternative paths in the immediate vicinity that have been used for several years whilst 4SM has been unavailable for use.
Preliminary consultations have been carried out with the prescribed organisations and there have been no objections.
It is deemed that 4SM is unnecessary and can be extinguished.

Authorisations for the enforcement of Trading Standards legislation are required for officers of Trading Standards section of the Council. have expired and require renewal and amendment to allow for the lawful undertaking of enforcement and compliance of Trading Standards legislation and legislation amendments following the UKs departure from the EU.
Request that the officers named below, are authorised until 31 March 2024 when the authorisations will be reviewed unless the legislation is revoked prior to this date.

To award works package 05 Moorgate/Derby Way, Radcliffe Road, Bury and Wood Road Lane, Ramsbottom through the Greater Manchester Highways Alliance Framework. (Estimated works cost £ 925,450.00)

Due to the retirement of the existing post holder, it is intended to implement an "acting up" arrangement for the existing substantive Assistant Director (Adult Social Care) to cover the post of Director of Community Commissioning (including the statutory DASS function) from 1st June 2021 for a period of up to one year. This will allow for a short transition into the new arrangements, ensure the statutory DASS role is covered, and provide stability for the service as we manage the exit from the pandemic. The role will be advertised formally in due course.

Temporary prohibition of right turn under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, from Bell Lane into Brook Street, Bury from Tuesday 01/06/21 for a period of 21 days to facilitate investigation & repairs to rectify a water leak (anticipated duration of works approx. 5 days). The alternative route is via Moorgate & Walmersley Rd.
