Temporary closure under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
of Kingswood Road, Prestwich between No.1 Kingswood Road and Brookmoor
Road from Monday 20/12/21 for a period of 21 days (anticipated duration 5
days) to repair a water leak. The diversion will be via Bury New Rd, Chester St
& Dashwood Rd and vice-versa.

The Executive Director of Operations in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Climate Change is recommended to approve adopting the standard signage of “Electric private hire and e-taxi charging point only”,

Authorisations for the enforcement of Covid-19 related legislation are required for officers of Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Licensing sections of the Council

In April 2022 the Health and Care Bill will be enacted. For the first time in 19 years this introduces a role for the Care Quality Commission to inspect Adult Social Care to ensure local authorities meet their statutory duties contained within the Part 1 of the Care Act.

The original workforce model for the transformation of the Intermediate Tier included the introduction of additional posts across all disciplines within the multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) including Therapy positions delivered across both the NHS and Council.

This aim of change will provide extra support on the triage function in CAD allowing better handling of the increase in referrals seen over the last 2 years.

The SEN Team was restructured in early 2021 with an intention to increase capacity. It was identified that additional work would need to be undertaken to review the role of the Administrative Support Workers to ensure the cost was aligned with the needs of the service going forwards.

Commission Innovate as a Project Team to manage Child In Need IRT social care; commission a Child in Need team consisting of 7 social workers and 1 family support practitioner for 6 months.

We are seeking to extend the capacity of the IPC team to end March 2023. This has been built into a proposed PH restructure but due to HR capacity the timelines on that are slipping and we need to act on the IPC capacity now so as not to lose staff (who are extremely difficult to recruit).

Temporary bus lane suspension under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, of Manchester Road, Bury between Redvales Road and Gigg
Lane from 10/01/22 for a period of 6 months to facilitate Water main renewal
works (anticipated duration 8 weeks).

There were no objections to the proposals for the introduction of no waiting at
any time restrictions, therefore the decision is to approve the proposals as
advertised.

Taking into account the justification for the proposals and the objections
received to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions, to approve the
amended proposal.

Further to the recommendation of the Traffic Management Unit
(minute number 4261), proposal for the extension of No Waiting at Any time
restrictions on Stand Lane south of North Woodley, Radcliffe. The restrictions
are proposed in order to provide a straighter approach to the pedestrian refuge
and provide additional visibility to drivers emerging from North Woodley.

Further to the recommendation of the Traffic Management Unit
(minute number 4268), proposal for the amendment of existing restrictions to
No Waiting at Any time on Bury New Road on approach to and at the junction of
George Street/Kings Road. The junction is proposed to be signalised and the
restrictions will assist in maintaining traffic flows and clear approaches to the
junction. The existing restrictions on George Street & Kings Road will be
reviewed to ensure the existing TROs reflect what is proposed in the new
design.

Taking into account the justification for the proposals and the objection received
to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions, to approve the proposal as
advertised.

Accept the tender in the sum of £95,039.88 submitted by Wilde Consultants Ltd, Brindley Lodge, Adcroft Street, Stockport, Cheshire, SK1 3HS. Scheme funded by GMCA. The professional services commission is for Metrolink station access ramp detailed design.

This is not in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission who regulate activities regulated under the Health and Social Care Regulated Activities Regulations 2014

Approval to formally advertise 2 flat road humps on Watling Street in Affetside
which are proposed to be introduced as part of Bury’s 2021/22 Road Safety
programme of works If no objections are received following the formal
advertisement process then the scheme will be implemented on site asap.

Approval to consult on a linear road safety scheme featuring various traffic
calming measures in the B6196 Church Street area of Ainsworth. The scheme is
proposed to be consulted on as part of Bury’s Road Safety programme of works
for 2021/22.

Approval to consult and to formally advertise a 20mph Zone and traffic calming
measures in the Albert Street area of Bury which is proposed to be introduced as
part of Bury’s 2021/22 Road Safety programme of works. If no objections are
received following the formal advertisement process then the scheme will be
recommended for construction asap.

Approval to consult on a new road safety scheme primarily feauring pedestrian
refuges on the A665 Radcliffe Moor Rd in Radcliffe. The scheme is proposed to be
consulted on as part of Bury’s Road Safety programme of works for 2021/22.

Temporary closure under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
of Walmersley Old Road from its junction with Bentley Lane for a distance of
50m in a northerly direction from 10/12/21 for a period of 21 days to facilitate
United Utilities mains and connection works. (anticipated duration 2 weeks).
There is no practicable alternative diversion route.

Temporary prohibition of right turn under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, from Hardman’s Road into Bury Old Road from Thursday
02/12/21 for a period of 21 days to facilitate gas investigation & repairs
(anticipated duration until 17 December 2021). The alternative route is via Bury
Old Road, Barn Street and Bury New Road.

Temporary closure under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
of Rowlands Road, Summerseat (Between access to Chest Wheel Farm and Nabbs Farm) from 24/01/22 for a period of 3 months to facilitate Water main works
(anticipated duration 2 weeks). The alternative route will be via Rowlands Rd,
Crag Lane, Bass Lane and Walmersley Rd and vice–versa.
