Permission is requested to recruit an additional four Support Workers for the Virtual Ward to meet increasing demand as outlined below.

Following evaluation of the submitted quotations, it is recommended that the lowest quotation of £11,389.00 for the refurbishment of the play area at Kersal Road, Prestwich, submitted by Draxeda Construction of Fern Cottage, Astley Moss, Astley, Tyldesley, Manchester, M29 7LX is accepted as providing best overall value to the authority.

Following approval at the Section 188 meeting on 17 December 2022, a consultation took place (from 21st December 2022 to 20th January 2023) in relation to the deletion of the vacant CareLink Handy person post and relocation of CareLink from Taylor House to Bradley Fold.

The Adult Social Care (ASC) programme has been developed in response to a new national assurance framework for adult social care and the Government’s ‘People at the Heart of Care’ white paper. While the Government’s Autumn Statement delayed charging reform until 2025, other reforms outlined in the white paper are continuing. There are significant implications attached to a Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessment rating outcome including potential government intervention for those local authorities deemed ’inadequate.’

Contract awarded to IWS in 2019 via an ESPO framework for the Provision of Water Hygiene Monitoring Services across all Public, Educational, Commercial, Industrial and Domestic buildings owned by the Council.
