As part of the ongoing support for businesses
in Radcliffe town centre and linked to the early
delivery phase of the Radcliffe Strategic Regeneration Framework,
it is proposed that the Radcliffe
Christmas lights be installed in the Christmas period 2020. This
will support high street businesses
by animating the town centre, helping to attract footfall and
potential customers to Radcliffe
Retailers following the full reopening of businesses (anticipated
early December) following closure
of non-essential retail in November.

Proposed implementation on site of 2 new
Toucan Crossings ( one a segregated shared use Toucan crossing nr
Hoyles Park ) on Bell Lane in the East Ward of Bury. The proposed
Toucan crossings are proposed to be introduced on the B6222 Bell
Lane opposite St Pauls Street and adjacent to Hoyles Park. The
proposed introduction of the two crossings forms part of Transport
for Greater Manchester’s MCF Beelines Tranche 6 bid.
Additionally, it is proposed to remove an existing Pelican crossing
on Bell Lane near Willow Street. This crossing will be replaced by
the new segregated shared use Toucan crossing adjacent to Hoyles
Park. The initiative is being promoted by Transport for Greater
Manchester to enhance existing recognised cycle and walking routes
in the borough and to develop new routes.
