Reason for urgency:
The programme associated with delivery of the Bury Market and Flexi-hall scheme is driven by the extremely tight timescales required to defray Levelling Up Fund (LUF) monies. The Council has, or is advanced in the process of, voluntarily acquiring all the other properties which are needed to progress the scheme. This decision must be fully completed by mid-March 2023 to enable mobilisation/demolition workstreams to progress in line with the programme critical path.
