This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.
Reason for urgency:
In November 2020, Cabinet approved in principle the delivery of an affordable housing scheme on Fletcher Fold. In March 2022, the Cabinet approved a proposal for Six Town Housing to develop and manage the intended scheme. The scheme was subsequently cancelled. In November 2022, the Cabinet approved the disposal of the land to a registered provider on the Council’s Registered Provider Framework, for the delivery of an affordable housing scheme for older people including those with long-term conditions such as a learning disability or mobility issues, subject to procurement regulations, to facilitate delivery of the Housing Strategy and generate savings to adult social care budgets. The finalised terms of the disposal were delegated to the Council's Section 151 Officer, Head of Legal Services and the Director of Housing, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing Services. Following a procurement exercise/mini competition in May 2023, Bolton at Home were the successful bidder.
