Reason for urgency:
• This Cabinet Paper brings forward over £7M in stock investment to Council Homes with a number of contract awards, contract extensions and additional budget provisions and enables us to get on site to deliver the works in a timely manner.
• The next Cabinet Meeting is in September which will mean two months delay in committing this much needed work to tenants homes. Delay will also prevent the use of two summer months for works to tenanted homes.
