worked with Councils for over 20 years, and the network is made up
of the most forward-looking local authorities across the UK.
Being a member of the NLGN provides access to

share ideas, lessons learned and best practice on core challenges

Receive case studies and begins on how councils have led innovation

research team, using their expertise to gain access to data and
findings 7. Speak at NLGN events and write articles on the NLGN
blog –to raise the profile of Bury Council
The total cost of membership is £12,800. Budget is available
through the Council’s corporate management subscriptions
budget.
It is proposed that the Council continues to be a member of the New
Local Government Network, reviewing this in 2021.

approved reduced service provision within Pest Control to
Emergency/Essential works only, in response the government guidance

relation to the replacement and procurement of a number of new
Refuse Collection Vehicles to replace existing unfit for purpose
vehicles within the Council’s fleet, it is recommended that
the new vehicles will be procured using an OJEU compliant framework
the TPPL (The Procurement Partnership Ltd).
It is also recommended that following an evaluation of the
framework that the contract for the 12 replacement vehicles is
awarded to:
FAUN Zoeller (UK) Ltd, Colemeadow Road, North Moons Moat Industrial
Estate, Redditch, Worcestershire, B98 9PB, United Kingdom
as it has been demonstrated that they offer the Council the best
value option.
